The present report - comprising an analysis of the phenomenon of jihadism and reflections on radicalisation - is an independent analysis performed by the NCTV. It is based on the expertise of professionals who work at the NCTV, and is intended to supplement the reports and analyses published over the past few years that have examined the phenomenon of jihadism and radicalisation, and that form the basis of Dutch counterterrorism policy, particularly the most recent report by the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD), ‘The Transformation of Jihadism in the Netherlands’.
