Less well-known, however, is the evolution of Iranian public attitudes and statements to the country, and particularly towards the Houthis, who hail from the minority Zaydi branch of Shi’a Islam, which differs substantially from the “Twelver” form of Imami Shiism observed by Iran’s rulers.
