520 _aIn 2014, RSA Conference and ISACA agreed to collaborate to examine variables contributing to the current state of cybersecurity. The result of the collaboration is this study, which offers a view into global activity and perceptions pertaining to cybersecurity-related issues. In January and February 2015, an invitation to participate in the survey was emailed to a global population of cybersecurity professionals composed of individuals holding ISACA’s Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM®) designation, RSA Conference’s Loyalty Plus customers and individuals registered for the 2015 RSA Conference. The data were collected anonymously through Survey Monkey. The results reveal many interesting findings that indicate positives and negatives for cybersecurity professionals. The survey, which used multiple-choice and Likert scale formats, was organized in seven major sections: • Demographics • Budgets, hiring and skills • Hacks, attacks and flaws • Threats • Internet crime and fraud • Social media • Organizational security and governance
